King David Memorial Garden

CNT 207r_copyThis unique memorial pays respect to our loved ones in a special way. The six triangles form one of our most ancient symbols, the Magen David, which has long been cherished as a symbol of protection. It also represents a tie to tradition and history. In the post- Holocaust world, six also serves as a reminder of the 6 million Jews who perished in the Holocaust. The triangular ledges are made of fine granite and will be etched with the names of loved ones along with their date of passing. There are spaces for 3,200 names.

This memorial is also a tribute to their unfinished lives. Surrounding each of the triangles are 18 benches symbolizing "Chai" or "Life." It is fitting that in this area of remembrance and reflection we also recognize that life must be affirmed and that the most meaningful way we can bring honor to our loved ones is to live our lives in such a way that they would be proud.

Opportunities to remember your loved ones are available and the King David Memorial Garden provides a calm and serene venue to acknowledge and pay respect to their lives.
