Philip Goldstein
Cantorial Intern
Philip Goldstein is currently serving full-time as Cantorial Intern at Congregation Ner Tamid. He has resided in Las Vegas for over thirty years, graduating from Valley High School and attending the University of Nevada- Las Vegas where he completed his studies in music theory. He has also studied acting and singing in Los Angeles and New York as well as playing the piano and drums.
Philip has served the Las Vegas Jewish community as the Cantorial Soloist at Temple Beth Sholom and has worked with Bet Knesset Bamidbar for its High Holydays services. He has attended Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati for some of his Jewish music and liturgical studies, and is always continuing his studies. He has also attended classes and studied with Cantor Nate Lam, Cantor Ben Steinberg and Cantor Jeremy Lipton. Philip has numerous show business credits from stage, television, radio and movies (he has been performing since the age of 8). He has appeared on stage in many musicals from London to Los Angeles, and was the Principal Lead Singer for twelve years in "Jubilee" at Bally's and the MGM Grand. Philip has appeared in numerous Broadway musicals, including the Los Angeles productions of "My Fair Lady" (as Freddy) and "The Unsinkable Molly Brown" (as the Prince). Philip's movie appearances include "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery", "Con-Air", and "Vegas Vacation". He has also appeared in numerous television shows and done commercial voice-over work.
