Rabbi Sadie ReubenAssistant Rabbi / EducatorRabbi Sadie Reuben was ordained three years ago from Hebrew Union College-JIR. Most recently she received her Masters degree in Jewish Education from the New York school of HUC-JIR. She is from Phoenix and already has a number of friends within the community and is very familiar with the region. The west is where she calls "home". Rabbi Reuben noted in a recent letter to the members of Congregation Ner Tamid,” I consider myself lucky to have been born Jewish, and most importantly, lucky that I have been exposed to the great diversity our religion has to offer. I had an amazing Jewish upbringing. I benefitted from most everything the Jewish world offers: Jewish day school, holiday celebrations, family chavurot, youth group, summer camps, Hillel, and more. I can’t wait to share these wonderful experiences with CNT. I plan to spoil Ner Tamid’s children with the richness of our heritage. I want all of the children to share a joy, appreciation, understanding, and love of Judaism.” Her professional experience in education and clergy, combined with a lifelong commitment to innovative and experimental programming, gives Rabbi Reuben the tools to create a new powerful and meaningful vision for the CNT religious school.
