For Young Families

Tot Shabbat Tot Shabbat - Congregation Ner Tamid welcomes Shabbat with a lively celebration for families with children ages 2 - 7 with songs, story time and lots of fun. Our Tot Shabbat service will make you clap your hands, stomp your feet, and lift your voices to sing along. The service and art projects are targeted for children ages 2 - 7 and parents or guardian are required to attend. Tot Shabbat is designed to get your kids excited about going to temple and being part of the Jewish community. The service and craft are free and open to children and families.  The service and fun are led by Rabbi Akselrad and Lonnie Kritzler, Education Director. This wonderful service is made possible through the generous donation of the CNT Sisterhood.

Shabbat B'yachad
Shabbat B'yachad (meaning "together") is a time for our community to celebrate Shabbat and share a meal with  family and friends. Please join us for our community service and dinner; bring a bottle of wine and dessert to share with your family and friends.

A Chavurah (literally translated as a “friendship circle”) generally gets together about once a month, but there is no rule. You and the other members of your Chavurah determine the activities. Through our Chavurah Program, CNT offers members another opportunity to get to know, and develop relationships with, other families within our congregation. We offer several different types of Chavurah groups including ones for families. Click here for a copy of the Chavurah application form.
