In 2004 she relocated to her hometown of Long Beach, CA becoming Program Director for the Alpert JCC. There Nancy supervised all program staff , marketing & technology, fund development and special events. After 2-1/2 years of commuting between California and Las Vegas, Nancy and her husband, Irv, have made the decision to call Las Vegas their home. Nancy attended Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri and studied psychology at the University of California, Irvine. Nancy and Irv have four wonderful children, Seth, Jennifer, Jamey and Lesley. Nancy Weinberger comes to CNT with deep roots in Las Vegas and a long history of involvement in the Jewish community. She has spent most of her professional career in Jewish education and communal service. After many years as a preschool teacher and associate director in a synagogue in Denver, Colorado, Nancy and her family relocated to Las Vegas. Upon moving to Las Vegas in 1998, Nancy immediately became involved in volunteer work at the Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada, serving as chairperson of the Annual Jewish Book Fair and eventually joining the professional staff as Program Director. Being in a "JCC Without Walls" provided many opportunities to collaborate with synagogues, especially CNT, for programs and activities.
