Rabbi Akselrad will examine this week’s Torah portion B’haalotecha through the lens of a unique experience he had while in London. His sermon, “There Is A Crack In Everything; That’s How The Light Gets In,” was inspired by what he learned about the nature of forgiveness and healing when examining an ancient Japanese art form. This week’s Torah portion deals with precisely this theme as Miriam is afflicted with leprosy for undermining the authority of her brother Moses. Rabbi Akselrad will reflect on life lessons to be had as we look at our own relationships.
