CNT’s Film Chavurah will present “Gentleman’s Agreement.”
This 1947 American drama is about a journalist, played by Gregory Peck,
who poses as a Jew to research an exposé on antisemitism in New York City.
It was nominated for eight Academy Awards and won Best Picture,
Best Supporting Actress (Celeste Holm), and Best Director (Elia Kazan).
In 2017, the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry
by the Library of Congress as being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.”
