PRO-PALESTINIAN RALLIERS AT UNLV SEEK CEASE-FIRE, DIVESTMENT
CONGREGATION NER TAMID’S RABBI SANFORD AKSELRAD was quoted in The Las Vegas Sun on Wednesday, May 1. The article “Pro-Palestinian ralliers at UNLV seek cease-fire, divestment,” focused on a pro-Palestinian rally held on the UNLV campus. Rabbi Akselrad was at UNLV participating in an Interfaith panel called “Diversity Dialogues” where he talked about how to promote peace and how to develop peacemaking skills. The Las Vegas Sun asked him about the anti-Israel rally and ones like it being staged at college campuses around the country.

Amit Amar, Idan Itzhaki, Roei Itzhaki, Israel Shalom, and Natan Shapira managed to escape the slaughter at the Nova Festival during the Hamas-led terrorist attacks in Israel on October 7, 2023. On Wednesday, February 21, CNT hosted the five survivors who shared their stories. Rabbi Sanford Akselrad and Cantor Jessica Hutchings moderated. Karin Hochman interpreted.

THANKS TO LAS VEGAS’ NBC AFFILIATE NEWS 3 KSNV-TV for broadcasting a news segment about Congregation Ner Tamid. Amit Amar, Idan Itzhaki, Roei Itzhaki, Israel Shalom, and Natan Shapira survived the Hamas-led terrorist attacks in Israel on October 7, 2023. More than 1,200 people were killed. Hamas massacred more than 300 civilians and took hostages at the Nova Festival. Amit, Idan, Roei, Israel, and Natan managed to escape the slaughter at that music festival and told their stories on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at CNT. Rabbi Sanford Akselrad and Cantor Jessica Hutchings moderated. Karin Hochman interpreted.
