Nathan Lieberman’s Bar Mitzvah – Saturday, April 13, 2024

Nathan Lieberman will be called to the Torah as a Bar Mitzvah on Saturday, April 13, at 10:00 a.m., at Congregation Ner Tamid. He will read from the Parashat Tazria. He is currently a 7th grader at St. Anthony of Padua, where he has earned Principal’s List for achieving a 4.0 grade point average every trimester. This education has made for wonderful discussions about world religion at the dinner table.

Nathan is not only academically high-achieving but also a dedicated baseball player in the Las Vegas travel baseball community. Nathan plays outfield for the 12U Majors Southern Nevada Navy baseball squad, ranked in the top 20 nationally, and spends most of his free time improving his skills in the batting cages and on the field. His commitment to his craft has earned him recognition as one of the top 12U baseball players in the state of Nevada.

In the spirit of helping others through the game of baseball, Nathan’s Bar Mitzvah project centers around the Miracle League of Las Vegas, which serves children and adults who suffer from physical or mental disabilities excluded, intentionally or not, from conventional baseball leagues. He asks for donations of new foam baseballs and new and gently used youth and adult baseball attire.

Celebrating with Nathan will be his parents Dr. Robert and Brooke Lieberman, grandparents Douglas Jones, Barbara Lieberman-Jones, and Dr. Robert Milne, and his younger brother Harrison.
