CNT’s Social Action Committee kicks off Congregation Ner Tamid’s 50th Anniversary programming with a three-part series about Antisemitism.
Rabbi Akselrad will host the first event on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at 6:30 p.m., at CNT.
“I’m especially proud of our Congregation’s involvement in social justice issues since its founding 50 years ago,” Rabbi Akselrad said. “This year’s Social Action series in January 2024 will allow us opportunities to reflect back upon the impact of the Reform movement as we embrace the concept of Tikkun Olam, the repair of the world. My lecture will talk a little bit about the involvement of Jews in civil rights, the rise of antisemitism in America, and the relationship between Jews in America and important social justice issues throughout the last 50 years.”
